Kitchen Refacing Cost

Bathroom and Kitchen remodeling?

I have a kitchen that is 13′ by 7′, and a bathroom that is 5′ by 7′. For the bathroom, I am looking to reglaze the tub, retile the walls and floors, new sink, toilet, and new cabinet. For the kitchen, I’m thinking of refacing the cabinets, getting rid of some brick on the walls (?), and retile the floors. The flooring in both rooms will probably be laminate. Any rough idea as to how much this could cost? I don’t plan to go overboard by getting the most expensive items, as a budget comes into play here.

Their are two costs for this type of project. First there is the material cost. Second the cost of installation. If you are installing the laminate flooring yourself, the cost of installation is not an issue.
Laminate flooring can run anywhere from $.69 per square upwards. Specials can be found online and even 12mm laminate floors, the thickest available can be found for 1.30 to 1.50 per square foot. To determine your square footage simply multiple the width by the lenght for both areas and add an additional 10% for waste.
Features such as beveled edges pre-attached cushions can increase the costs of laminate floors. I would suggest that you not purchase any floor under 8mm in thickness as they sound hollow and loud when walked upon.
