How much would it cost to do home repairs by yourself?
I am looking at buying a property in Louisiana, from the photos I see that it has mold on the kitchen ceiling so I need to that piece of the ceiling removed and replaced, and will also have to fix the roof.
There is mold on the bottom of the wall in the living room, All the floors through out the house need to be replaced. I was thinking of doing tile. It is 1,256 SQ FT.
And all the walls need to be given fresh paint and the siding on the house needs a little repair and I hope the a/c heater unit works.
How much would all those materials cost to make all the repairs?
You will not be able to tell how much work needs to be done from looking at pictures. I’m sure there will be more than what you see. Usually after you start on a remodel, you find more that you first thought. And it always more than you thought. Building materials prices vary some from place to place. Also you must consider how far away is the building center from the job. Just getting the stuff to the job is sometimes expensive if it is a distance. Make list of what you might need and go to building center and start pricing. Not buying , just pricing. Good luck.
