Basement coloring/remodel?
I am moving sept 13 and would like to finish half of the basement. I’m on a cheap budget so I was thinking of hanging fabric/painting the walls. Right now, they are just white. I need ideas of the colors I should use…
Also, the floor is concrete, i will be painting it. Again,, what color?
I also am getting a couch, tv, and treadmill down there. I would just need some ideas. I have never done this before and want it to look really good!
you don’t have to stick with white, but in a basement with small windows (or no windows) be sure to keep the color light and airy. You could also do an accent wall to bring in a deeper color without closing in the whole space.
I great chepa fix for fabric is to check out the bedding department. Flat sheets are a great buy. They are cheaper than curtains because they aren’t lined, but in a low-light basement you wouldn’t need lined panels.
Go to HGTV.com and look at some of their rooms. They have a whole slew of ideas.
